Converting From WinHelp

Still using WinHelp (aka Windows Help) for your online help or documentation?   If so, it's time leave WinHelp and move your online help or documentation to HTML or XHTML. Here's why:

1. WinHelp has been officially dead since 1997.
2. WinHelp looks, and is, old-fashioned.
3. WinHelp is not web-capable.
4. WinHelp's use of macros may be a security risk.
5. WinHelp authoring tools are disappearing.
6. Few developers know those tools .
7. Fewer developers know the code behind the authoring tools.
8. Rapidly declining tech support from Microsoft and the authoring tool vendors.
